Northern Tides Speech and Language accepts most commercial insurances, as well as Medicare and Medicaid. Since all insurance plans are different, we check eligibility and benefits prior to the scheduled session. Before your evaluation, we require the following materials:

  • Doctor's Referral

  • Method of Payment Placed on File

  • Copy of patient's insurance card OR patient's insurance information, including:

    • Name of insurance company

    • Phone number for providers to call

    • Policy holder's name

    • Policy number

    • Policy holder's date of birth

    • Caregivers’ Driver’s License and/or ID

Private Pay Rates are available. Fees for services are based on professional standards.

Cancellation +
No Show Policy

If you cancel an appointment 24 hours prior to a session in two consecutive weeks or three cancellations within a 90-day period, your therapist reserves the right to discharge speech therapy services with Northern Tides. To avoid discharge from services, a make-up appointment must be scheduled and fulfilled within 4 weeks of the missed appointment.

​If you have three no-show appointments throughout the duration of your time with Northern Tides, we reserve the right to discharge speech therapy services. A missed appointment is considered a no-show when your therapist or the office is not notified prior to the missed appointment time, or if they are notified within 4 hours of your scheduled appointment.
